Lovea Burkina Shea Butter Nourishing Shampoo is specially formulated for dry & very dry hair. Regular use promotes silky & stronger hair that is more manageable. This shampoo uses organic certified Burkina Shea Butter, a precious active ingredient from Africa, its rich, creamy texture will nourish very dry hair.

Burkina Shea Butter (for dry hair) melts quickly at room temperature and absorbs rapidly without leaving a greasy feeling. It is a great anti-inflammatory, emollient and helps maintain moisture levels. It is renowned for fading scars and helping lessen the irritation of eczema and psoriasis. For the chemists out there shea butter is a complex fat that contains oleic acid (40-60%), stearic acid (20-50%), linoleic acid (3-11%), palmitic acid (2-9%), linolenic acid(<1%) and arachidic acid(<1%)

Eco-Cert, the European Organic Regulator, have assessed all the ingredients used in this product and certified that they are safe and gentle enough to be used in certified organic products. Eco-Cert say that whilst most sulfates are still not permitted in certified organic products, the exception is Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate (ALS) which is not irritating & very gentle on the skin. Eco-cert’s decision to permit ALS was based on the latest research into the irritancy of cosmetic ingredients.

Argan Oil or Moroccan Oil (for skin & hair that needs special care) has been used for centuries by local tribes in North Africa but only recently has it come to the attention of cosmetic scientists. Research shows that the oil is packed with beautifying ingredients like vitamin E, phenols, carotenes and essential fatty acids, in fact it is over 70% oleic & linoleum acids. These essential fatty acids are also known as the skin vitamin - Vitamin F, and just like other vitamins the body is unable to produce its own Vitamin F.
