Pregnant women need natural skin care
Pregnant women who want to make sure they are taking the best possible care of their child in the womb should use natural skin care products, according to one expert.
Beauty journalist Megan Robinson told the Thread lifestyle website of her concerns about putting chemical products onto her skin while she carried her unborn child.
She told the website: "I wanted to take the natural route as often as possible and just try to be more aware of what I'm putting into my body and therefore into baby."
The writer added that everything changes once you become pregnant and said that watching your diet and skin care regime is essential.
Ms Robinson advised those who are fortunate enough to avoid stretch marks during pregnancy that they can often appear after the baby has been born.
Sally Ann Carroll, style editor at Prima Baby, recently said that fans of natural skin care should not worry about getting back into shape after giving birth and added that most women retain their natural glow.
