Green Beauty Bible recognises A'kin natural beauty products

Green Beauty Bible recognises A'kin natural beauty products More and more people are looking to move from synthetic to natural and organic skin care products with the aim of taking better care of their body.

However, it can be a bit overwhelming trying to find the right natural beauty products when faced with a variety of unfamiliar brands.

That's where the Green Beauty Bible comes in. The latest edition is out this month, completely revised and updated, with cosmetics trialled by over 1,000 testers specifically recruited for the purposes of the book.

Written by best-selling authors, Sarah Stacey and Josephine Fairley, both editors of the Mail on Sunday's YOU magazine, it includes consumer survey reports on 44 categories of natural beauty products.

Sarah and Josephine also talk about the "green goddesses" who inspire them, such as Alicia Silverstone, Liz Earle and Scheherazade Goldsmith, plus offer tips about how to achieve inner, outer and spiritual beauty.

The authors say it is no surprise that 63 per cent of people suffer from sensitive skin as many beauty products on the market are still based on petrochemicals, which clog the pores and are also non-renewable and non-sustainable for the environment. That is why many people are instead turning to organic skin care.

Natural skin care company A'kin features three times in the book, with its Unscented Intensive Hand, Nail and Cuticle Treatment, Rose and Geranium, Pure Creamy Cleanser and Toner in One and
Gingko and Chamomile, Revitalising Eye Night Creme all winning recognition from the authors.

One comment about the hand, nail and cuticle treatment was: "[It's] very good for tackling dryness, my hands were cracked and it sorted them out immediately."

"I loved this wonderful-smelling product; it's the best cream cleanser I've tried and all natural; a definite improvement in the texture and smoothness of my skin," said another tester about the cleanser and toner.

In addition, the gingko and chamomile product was voted no.1 eye cream in the book, with one user saying: "I liked everything about this - using it was lovely."

Lisa Alward, sales and marketing at A'kin, said that the awards were a testament to the quality of organic skin care products developed by the beauty company.

"We are thrilled at winning three Green Beauty Bible Awards. It proves the A'kin ethos that products can be natural without compromising on quality and performance," she said.

"Our growing list of high profile industry and media accolades, further strengthens the position of A'kin as a leader in the natural hair, body and skin care category," she added.
