Organic products best for sensitive skin

Organic products best for sensitive skin Ladies who have found their skin is easily irritated if they switch beauty products may want to sample natural cosmetics that are free from chemicals.

Green living editor at the Ecologist Ruth Styles claimed organic moisturisers and cleansers "tend to be better for sensitive skin".

She noted how use of conventional products can lead to flare-ups as the man-made ingredients react with delicate skin.

Ms Styles recommended switching to natural items as theses are far less likely to cause irritation or inflammation.

"The main benefit of using organic products is that you know more or less exactly what you're getting," the expert commented.

Makeup artist and skincare specialist Sophie Chamings recently remarked how there is a "feel-good factor involved in using natural and organic beauty products".

It was suggested they have better long-term benefits and are more effective at nourishing the face and body, while allowing pores to remain unblocked.

In addition, Ms Chamings claimed repeated applications of cosmetics that contain chemicals could be potentially harmful, as they are absorbed by the skin.

The specialist said: "If you know a product has ingredients that are safe to the body, you can feel confident that you are being safe."

According to Ms Styles, organic items are guaranteed to be free from "nasties, such as parabens, white petrolatum and sulphates".

High-quality cosmetics will also have no traces of pesticides or agrichemicals, it was noted.

Ms Styles remarked how most beauty entrepreneurs claim their reasons for moving to the organic market is due to the discovery that sensitive skin responds far better to natural products rather than chemically-enhanced offerings.

Now may be the ideal time to try out a moisturising soap, as expert dermatologist from expertbeauty.com Dr Helen Robertshaw recently stated traditional soaps can exacerbate dry hands and faces in winter.
