Beauty food 'can boost natural skin care'
The secret to natural skin care may be what you put in your mouth, as well as what you put on your skin.
Jodi Mailander Farrell, writing for McClatchy Newspapers, said an increasing focus is being placed on "beauty foods" which help you look healthy from the inside out.
The writer states these food include fruits, vegetables, nuts and teas, with one skin expert adding that taking care of your skin is not just what you put on it.
Joely Kaufman, a Miami dermatologist, tells the source: "A good skin care regimen involves both topical and dietary regimens."
Ms Mailander Farrell adds that Vitamin B and C are both good supplements to take, while they can also be found in natural skin care products.
Vitamin E is also recommended by the writer, as it can prevent ageing and improve elasticity of the skin.
Ladies who want healthy nails should eat lean beef, turkey and egg yolks, to help strengthen them and boost the work their natural skin care products are doing.
