Curry spices could help with ailments
Fans of organic skin care could be assisting their immune system when they eat curry, according to one newspaper which claimed that spices found in the dish are healthy and beneficial.
The Daily Mail stated that curry ingredients such as turmeric, cumin, allspice, cardamom, ginger, garlic and capsicum all have strong anti-bacterial properties and are popular in hot countries where meat needs to preserved.
It stated: "Dishes such as rogan josh, madras, jalfrezi and sags (with spinach) tend to have less cream [than kormas, masalas and pasandras] but just as many healthy spices."
Other spices which the newspaper claimed are beneficial include ginger, which it said can act as an effective pain reliever for arthritis because it reduces joint inflammation.
Supermodel Heidi Klum recently said that she intends to shed her baby weight as soon as possible after giving birth but plans to do it by eating natural, healthy foods and other "normal things".
