EFAs are important for children's development
Fans of natural skin care who want to prepare their children for school should make sure that they are getting enough essential fatty acids (EFAs), according to one expert who said the natural foods are crucial for brain development.
Douglas MacKay, who is a licensed naturopathic doctor, told the Whole Story blog that EFAs such as those found in omega 3 help the brain, eyes and nervous system to grow.
He said: "EFAs are essential because the body does not make enough of them and EFAs supply countless essential functions in the body and the brain."
The expert added that lots of people fail to buy produce rich in omega 3 because it is found in less popular foods like fish, nuts, seeds and hemp oils.
In other natural hair care news, Fox News recently reported that eating the correct natural produce can help reduce wrinkles and improve the condition of hair.
