Natural beauty: Recommended calorie intake could increase
Fans of natural makeup could soon be able to increase the number of calories they consume every day, according to a draft report by an advisory committee.
The Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition (SACN), which advises the government on health issues, stated that the recommended daily intake of calories for adults could increase by 16 per cent.
"This means men could safely consume an extra 400 calories a day, equivalent to an average-sized cheeseburger or two bags of ready salted crisps," the Guardian stated.
In light of the new recommendations food labeling could be changed and some products would be upgraded to a healthier rating, which could interest fans of natural skin care.
Elle magazine recently reported on dieting expert Tosca Reno, who has introduced a new scheme which suggests that people eat between five and seven small meals per day which include natural foods like bee pollen and flax.
