Natural foods are important for mental health
Fans of natural hair care should make sure they do not feast on too much junk food, according to researchers who have found that there is a connection between the amount of unhealthy food people eat and their mental health.
Researchers from University College London said the study showed that people who consume food like burgers and hot dogs on a regular basis are more likely to become depressed than those who eat natural food.
Dr Eric Brunner, who is one of the researchers, said: "There seem to be various aspects of lifestyle such as taking exercise which also matter, but it appears that diet is playing an independent role."
The expert added that people who eat junk food are constantly forcing their blood sugar levels up and then down, which can be damaging.
Misty Harris, health correspondent for the Vancouver Sun, recently claimed that produce which offer amazing health benefits, while being made up of unnatural ingredients, are nothing more than 'fortified junk food'.
