Natural skin care: Eating right is the key to conceiving
Fans of natural skin care should make sure they eat the right products if they want to conceive a child, according to one expert, who said avoiding gorging on Christmas foods will help.
Yvonne Bishop-Weston, nutritionist for First Response, said that because many nutrients have been lost in the soil that food is grown in, people need to be extra cautious when buying good food.
"Apart from avoiding foods with lots of empty calories and few useful nutrients, you should avoid foods rich in harmful processed fats such as hydrogenated fat that can hinder a body's ability to process essential fats," she stated.
Avoiding alcohol and coffee is another tip which the expert gave to women looking to conceive this yuletide.
The Total Fertility Rate for 2008 gave an average of 1.97 children per woman in England and Wales, which was an increase from 1.92 in 2007.
