Big lips are the big look this summer
Buying new lipstick is one of the cheapest ways to alter your look and improve your mood, according to one magazine which unveiled its summer beauty tips.
Fans of natural beauty will be interested in the advice which was given by OK! magazine and included embracing natural looking cheeks and eyes while employing a more eye-catching lipstick.
OK! said: "It's no wonder that the summer 2009 beauty trends, taken from the catwalk, were awash for spring/summer with lip-smacking brights, from shocking fuchsia to tomato red and candy pinks."
The magazine added that fashionistas like Stella McCartney have started using natural looking makeup that subtly enhance features.
Other top tips were using glowing rosy colours on cheeks and applying brown shades instead of black ones around the eyes, to create a smoky look.
In other natural skin care news, makeup artist Sebastien Tardif told Vogue about his love of cheeky tints this summer season.
