Homemade natural skincare products 'can soothe skin'
Oats can be a good way of healing dry and itchy skin when used as a home made natural skin care product, an expert asserts.
Stella Gray, speaking on behalf of the Spa Elder at Fern Tree, tells the Jamaica Observer that adding several cups of oats that have been finely ground to a lukewarm bath can sooth irritated skin, which could include problems caused by eczema.
The vitamin E in this is both an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent, which could be good news to those with damaged skin and an interest in natural skin care products.
Ms Gray also suggests applying a facemask comprised of ground oats, natural yoghurt and either natural honey and molasses.
She tells the news provider that this should be rinsed off after 20 minutes, before the subject tones and moisturises, potentially using natural skin care products.
Founder of Planitgreenhome.com Shelly Brown recently advised new mothers to ensure they use natural beauty products as a way of minimising the risk of exposing their young ones to chemicals.
