Key to sexy summer skin is moderation
People who want to achieve perfect sun-kissed skin this summer should be cautious when they are going about everyday tasks, as well as when they are on the beach, according to one beauty magazine.
Marie Claire gave the advice in its summer skin care guide, which may interest fans of organic skin care products.
It stated that more than 60 per cent of sun damage is caused when people are engaged in tasks such as walking a dog or driving a car rather than intentionally trying to tan.
The magazine said: "Going to be in ray range? Keep your protection potent by stocking up at the start of the season. Sunscreens have an expiration date [which is] typically a year."
Other tips included staying out of the sun around midday, applying bronzer by blending it inwards and avoiding staying in the sun for any extended amount of time.
Embracing natural beauty and using less makeup in the hotter summer months will help retain an unspoilt face, according to celebrity makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury, who told the Daily Mail about her beauty tips.
