Makeup trends 'come straight off the catwalk'
The influence of celebrity beauty tips is a false economy, according to one expert, who said the catwalks are still the first port for new makeup styles.
Nicole Phelps, executive editor of Style.com, told the Miami Herald that for people willing to live on the cutting edge of makeup, there is still nowhere better for tips than the world's best known catwalks, which may interest fans of natural skin care products.
The editor added that people are influenced by the catwalk looks whether they are aware of it or not.
She said: "The people doing hair and makeup on the runways are doing hair and makeup for celebrities, and the public does pay attention to that."
In other natural skin care news, the US country star Miranda Lambert recently told OK! magazine that she gets inspiration for her skin care regime from Nicole Kidman, who said she applies sunscreen all year round.
