Natural beauty causes a stir in fashion world
A plus-size model who appeared in the pages of Glamour magazine in America has caused a stir among fashionistas because she goes against the staple idea of what a model should look like, according to one newspaper.
The Daily Mail reported that Lizzie Miller sent flutters around the fashion and beauty world because she appeared in the magazine with some noticeable body fat around her stomach.
It stated: "This extraordinary image of a women with wobbly bits that have not been airbrushed away has sparked a whirlwind of reaction almost all of it positive."
The newspaper added that Ms Miller was happy with the positive reactions and said that the picture proves people are hungry to see pictures of "normal" women.
Monica Bellucci, Sophie Marceau and Eva Herzigova recently appeared on the cover of French Elle with little or no makeup as the trio showed their support for natural beauty.
