Natural moisturiser and rock salt makes 'perfect DIY pedicure'
This season's footwear trends call for sandals all the way, so it's imperative that your tootsies are ready to face the world this summer.
But rather than pay for an expensive trip to your local salon, footcare expert Margaret Dabbs told Daily Telegraph readers of a foolproof way to get your feet in tip-top condition.
"For a DIY pedicure, start with a foot scrub of rock salt mixed with body lotion. Apply to dry skin, focusing on calloused areas and the nails, too," she suggested.
For your nails, Ms Dabbs said that a splash of lemon juice will help to whiten them, advising to "apply with cotton-wool, then use a soft cloth to buff them".
Finally, a bright hued nail varnish will round off the look and keep you in step with current trends.
Earlier this week, Geraldine Howard from Aromoatherapy Associates suggested "layering" body products to keep your skin supple this summer.
