Natural skin care products 'put minds at rest'
Women are continually choosing to seek out natural and organic skin care products as opposed to chemical-based cosmetics, according to one expert, who said more traditional ideas about beauty are becoming increasingly prevalent.
Consultancy expert Harold Zimmerman said that trends toward treatments like Botox are subsiding, insisting that natural ingredients like Aloe Vera are becoming more popular.
He told InsideCosmeceuticals.com: "You can't fool Mother Nature. Nor can you fool the [consumer], for that matter, who longs for the earth's effective elements."
The expert added that a fear of free radicals and toxins is running rampant among natural skin care customers, who are seeking out natural, effective alternatives to synthetic ingredients in beauty products.
Meanwhile, celebrity makeup artist Lina Hanson, who has worked with Mandy Moore and Zac Effron, recently told treehugger.com that the beneficial effects of natural skin care products will be seen soon after they are used.
