Organic skin care inspires cancer patient
A cancer patient has spoken about her use of organic skin care after being shocked at the amount of chemicals that were present in her previous cosmetics.
Valérie Grandury reinvented her skin care regime after she was diagnosed with the disease and even changed her diet and fitness programme.
She told Ode Magazine: "Driven against the odds by a will to live, she created a battle plan against her disease through a total detoxification of her environment."
Ms Grandury added that after reading about the harmful elements of some cosmetics she discovered that a number of beauty products are a cocktail of "dangerous known carcinogens".
The lifestyle expert was even inspired to start creating her own organic skin care products after discovering the harmful effects of chemical-based products.
In other natural skin care news, beauty analyst Alexandra Richmond recently told the Daily Mail that some women are putting their health at risk because they simply forget when they purchased a product and do not take notice of the use-by date.
