Organic skin care: Winter ushers in makeup re-jig
Fans of natural beauty should make sure they change their makeup regime along with their wardrobe as the winter months approach, according to one expert.
New York City makeup artist Rebecca Restrepo told the Oprah Magazine that women need to be careful when applying products because trying to hang onto summer skin with bronzer can be a recipe for disaster.
She said: "It can be so far from a woman's natural winter skin tone that it can look like orange or red smudges on the face."
Other advice the expert gave included using a slightly warmer shade of eyeshadow during winter by mixing a brighter summer palette with brown to create a deeper colour.
The UK version of Elle recently said that stars like Lily Allen and Agyness Deyn are sporting an influential gothic look which it says is inspired by vampire films such as the smash hit Twilight.
