People 'confused over sunscreen'
People with dark skin are often confused about whether they should wear products such as organic sunscreen, an expert has claimed.
Rebecca Freeman, spokesperson for the British Association of Dermatologists, commented that consumers are uncertain regarding what skin type they have.
She stated that this can leave doubts over whether sun protect creams are needed, users of organic sunscreen may be interested to hear.
Ms Freeman said that there is no one-size-fits-all message regarding this, adding that some skin types or more likely to burn.
She added that whether you use creams and lotions or not, it is important to take safety precautions.
The expert advised: "As well as the general sun safety messages, its also important to check your skin every month and report any changes to your GP."
Recently, Dr Chris Fowler said that organic sunscreens are every bit as effective as non-organic versions.
