Sensitive skin 'needs natural remedies'
People who suffer from sensitive skin should apply natural products and avoid using too many different remedies, according to one expert.
Beauty writer Julia Scirrotto wrote for Marie Claire about her personal battle with sensitive skin and the relief she gained when she stripped down her beauty regime and started using natural skin care products.
She stated: "Skin needs recovery time after an intensive treatment. Unless you know better, and I certainly didn't, the common knee-jerk reaction to a skin problem is to throw more products at it."
Giving skin a break to recover from applying too many products is also recommended by the writer who said natural beauty cosmetics can then be slowly added to a regime.
Once skin has been revitalised the writer recommends using natural skin care products which are mild and do not have many active ingredients or chemical-based agents.
In other news, shimmering cheeks are the big look this summer season, according to makeup artist Sebastien Tardif, who told Vogue his top skin care tips.
