Shoppers 'reassured' by natural skin care products
Many shoppers feel reassured when buying natural skin care products, as opposed to synthetic alternatives, an industry expert has said.
Kristin Armstrong, vice president of Kiehl's, told the Edmonton Journal that consumers feel safe using creams and lotions which are free from artificial chemicals.
She states that natural skin care products have been available for a while, however, their popularity has grown considerably in recent years, as people realise the benefits of using them.
"I think it makes [customers] feel safe, using products that can be used on sensitive skin, that's been tested on sensitive skin. I think it's reassuring that products come from nature," Ms Armstrong told the news provider.
Using natural skin care products is essential for those who plan on spending a significant amount of time in the sun, according to the Telegraph's beauty expert Liz Earle, who claims that they sit on the skin and reflect the rays away.
