Skin care must be a priority, says expert

Skin care must be a priority, says expert As European Union (EU) regulations on sunscreen protection change, fans of natural skin care products need to be on their toes, according to a pair of beauty experts.

Writing on the Daily Mail's website, beauty critics Sarah Stacey and Josephine Fairley discussed the consequences of the rule changes and how they will affect the natural skin care industry.

Ultraviolet light, otherwise known as UVA and UVB, is the major factor in forcing the rule changes, according to the twosome.

They said: "As of summer 2009, a mandatory EU recommendation says that all sun protection products in the EU must have at least a 1:3 ratio of UVA protection to UVB protection."

The experts add that it is easy to reach the required ratio by using chemicals and unnatural sun protection factors, but for many companies this stance directly goes against their principles.

In other natural skin care news, examiner.com recently suggested that increasing the use of products which use natural ingredients will improve your complexion and body confidence.
