Staying cool will help with makeup
In the heat of the summer sun, makeup can become smudged and spoiled but, according to one expert, the solution is at your fingertips.
Celebrity makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury told the Daily Mail about her top tips for retaining natural beauty, even in the hottest conditions.
Ms Tilbury said that using minimal amounts of makeup is vital, as well as applying foundation with your fingertips and using waterproof mascara to ensure the product will not run or smudge in hot weather.
She said: "Use your fingertips to apply foundation. This will ensure you get quick coverage, while gently warming the product with your natural body heat - making the foundation sit better on your skin without clogging or melting when the heat is on."
Fans of natural skin care could be interested in the advice, which goes against the tips of top fashion makeup artist Pat McGrath, who recently said using a brush is the only way to achieve a flawless finish.
