Male skin care market has been boosted
The cosmetic industry is focusing on the male skin care market and believes it is going to grow significantly in the next few years, according to one expert.
Consumer advisor Tammy Smitham told Metro Canada about her views and said the industry is being bolstered by investment interest from stars like the rapper 50 Cent and the actor Brad Pitt.
People who are thinking about buying natural skin care products could be interested in the comments, which suggested that younger men are increasingly more concerned with their appearance.
Ms Smith¬am said: "The first purchase might have been made by a woman, but the next purchase is being made by the man - they're replenishing now. I even hear stories where men are actually borrowing their wife's skin care products."
She also spoke about the growing number of older men who are interested in skin care and anti-aging products.
In other natural beauty news, the Italian make-up artist Juliet Stewart told the Journal News about her beauty regime which focuses looking after her skin first before her makeup.
