Ask questions before reaching for the hair dyes
Some advice has been given into how we should use hair dyes to simply change our look from dark hair to a blonde bob.
Tom Berry, of the Saks art team, noted that going about such a strategy with natural hair "can be done easily" via highlights or tinting processes.
However, he believes that a professional may want to be sought out when going for dyed hair, as "this involves stripping hair which can affect condition badly".
Before choosing to dye your hair though, Mr Berry was keen to point out that a few questions should be asked first.
"Will it suit you? Try on wigs to see if that colour suits you. Is the condition of your hair good enough to take the change? How easy is it to correct it in case you don’t like it?" the expert advised.
One person who has shown how to alter a hairstyle with attractive results is Cheryl Cole, who recently changed her famous dark locks for a long blonde do.
