Conditioner is 'crucial part of hair care'
A good conditioner should be an essential part of any natural hair care regime, according to one expert.
Petros Mairoudhiou, who is a stylist at the Trevor Sorbie salon in Covent Garden, made the comments and added that using natural methods to dry hair is also very important.
He said: "Conditioner is an essential part of the cleansing regime as it closes the cuticle, which, as a result, smoothes the hair shaft and helps to restore the moisture balance, keeping the hair healthy and shiny."
Stress and hair damage can also be caused through use of heat appliances, added the stylist, who warned people that hair can become brittle and dry if it is subjected to overheating.
In other natural beauty news, opting for a natural hair style on a big occasion has been recommended recently by Examiner.com, which stated that any major changes to a style could ruin a look before a big day.
