Eco-friendly products 'on the rise'
Natural skin care products are beginning to be more popular as the world becomes more eco-conscious, according to one website.
Examiner.com said that natural ingredients, such as tea tree oil, peppermint, lavender and eucalyptus, are becoming more popular because they are naturally beneficial to human skin.
It stated: "It should be no surprise that we are starting to see a wave of natural plant-based ingredients in our everyday products. Lately the beauty industry has begun to substitute harsh chemicals for plant products with natural benefits."
The site continued to praise the benefits of using tea tree on hair because it can stop oil build up, eradicate head lice and help get rid of dandruff.
Lavender is also picked out for its calming qualities and relaxing aroma.
BusinessScoop.com recently said that global sales of natural and organic skin care products are increasing because of consumers' increased awareness of ethical ranges and eco-friendly cosmetics.
