Experiment with texture for 'interesting tresses'

Experiment with texture for 'interesting tresses' Fans of natural hair care can play around with different textures to create inventive styles while growing their locks, according to one expert.

Efi Davies, international artistic director at high street hairdressers Toni & Guy, said that experimenting with texture can help during the tedious process of growing out hair.

She said: "Either quaffing grown-out fringes, or plaiting/twisting shorter layers and pinning back either side of the head can look great for a boho-chic effect."

As well as creating the boho-chic look, which has been seen on celebrities such as Nicole Richie and Sienna Miller recently, texture can also be used to produce interesting shapes and volume, according to the expert.

Ms Davies added the suggestion that there are quick fixes to help women grow out their hair is a myth, but said that a good diet helps to improve shine and condition.

Toni & Guy's latest trend report showed that short and classic cuts will be popular this season, predicting that hairstyles will be dictated by an overall look.
