Expert: The shag is versatile and easy to manage
Ladies should follow in Victoria Bekham's footsteps this year and embrace the shag haircut, which an expert said suits most people.
Jules Holland, creative director at Mark Hill Salon, said that the look is a variation on the bob and will replace the graduated bob as this year's must-have haircut.
The expert also advised that it does not take many natural hair care products to complete the look, with some control spray needed on the ends to make them more choppy.
Mr Holland also advised using wax to separate the ends of the hair and give them some texture.
One great thing about the shag is that it suits most face shapes, he said, adding: "It's a good haircut for anybody in terms of wearability and manageability as well."
Elle magazine has recently recommended the look too, saying that it has become the hairstyle of the A list, as Diane Kruger, Zoe Saldana and Jessica Alba have already adopted it.
