Kimberly Wyatt ditches bleach for a more natural hair-do
Fans of natural hair care have known for ages that bleaching hair can cause some nasty unexpected results and now former Pussycat Dolls singer, Kimberly Wyatt has come to the same conclusion.
Having spent years sporting a bleached crop hair-do the singer opted for brown locks earlier this year in a bid to maintain a healthy scalp.
She told Loose Women, "With the bleaching process with my hair I couldn't stand putting bleach on my head again. It was making my scalp swell, it was so painful and itchy"
Simon Golding founder of mypure says "this is a classic chemical sensitivity, repeated exposure to the same chemical causes a gradually more severe reaction until you can no longer stand to be exposed to it"
"At mypure we've been asked repeatedly for natural hair dyes but to date we've found it hard to find any that meet our strict guidelines on chemicals - hopefully that's all about to change. Keep your eyes peeled for some news on natural hair dyes soon!"
