Natural hair care: Big hair is officially back!
If you thought that the natural hair care styles popularised by Joan Collins and Stephanie Beacham in Dynasty were a thing of the past, think again!
In recent days, the celebrity circuit has proved that big is back and it's brasher than ever.
First, Cheryl Cole introduced herself to the US public as the face of the X Factor panel in a 70s-inspired colour-blocked ensemble, with her roots standing to attention in a bouffant that any disco diva would be proud of.
And, sealing the trend as one to watch, fashionista Sarah Jessica Parker attended the Robin Hood Foundation benefit in New York last night with hair that paid homage to the skyscrapers around her.
If you want to achieve the look, perfecting the art of backcombing and investing in good-quality firm-hold hairspray is an absolute must.
The key is to give lift at the root, particularly around the front of the face, in order to create a cascading effect of tumbling locks.
