Natural hair care fans urged to embrace slick 1920s styles
This season, natural hair care trends really do have something for everyone. If big hair is not your thing, beauty commentators advise you to go slick with a 1920s-inspired up 'do.
Writing in Vogue UK, Jessica Hogan has reported that a number of high-profile fashion houses, including Gucci, Versace and Prada, shunned the backcombing brush and piled on the products for glamorous, delicate styles that are easy to manage.
Gucci kept silhouettes sleek with low side-partings and slicked back braids. Versace, meanwhile, went for a wet-look ballerina bun, adding some contemporary flair with a PVC square.
The models at Prada embraced the definitive flapper hairstyle, the vintage set-wave, with intricate knotted buns at the nape of the neck. This sophisticated style was complemented by a flash of space-age silver eyeshadow across the eyes.
Earlier this week, Allure's fashion blog reported that Missoni's Milan show had championed soft, sexy and wearable natural makeup look, with barely-there foundation and sultry, smoky eyes.
