Natural hair care: Locks needs extra protection in the sun
Even superstars like Beyonce are not immune to the affects of the sun on holiday hair, but there are ways to prevent frizz and control frazzled locks, according to one expert.
The R'n'B superstar was recently photographed with holiday hair that look as if it had struggled to keep its shape in the hot weather.
Beauty expert Bella Battle wrote in the Sun that fans of natural hair care with different hair types need to take specific precautions in order to fight off frizzy locks.
Speaking about brittle hair, she said: "Try and cover hair up under a trendy head scarf or trilby whilst on the beach so you'll look gorgeous and save your hair from the sun's harmful rays."
The expert advised putting serum onto sun-damaged hair to help it recover from heat exposure and advised women with brittle locks to keep it nourished.
There is a plethora of natural hair care products available to women who want to avoid chemical-based alternatives, according to The Montreal Gazette, which said more eco-conscious women are turning to organic cosmetics.
