Natural hair care: Pixie cut is a hit for celebrities
Shorter hair cuts are proving popular for celebrities because they highlight their thin features, according to one expert, who said the look helps to accentuate well formed cheek bones.
Fashion and beauty expert Hadley Freeman wrote in her G2 Ask Hadley column that pixie hairdos have become more popular among celebrities, like actress Halle Berry, who has recently been spotted sporting the look.
She stated: "Here is a totally hot new haircut that will emphasise to the world that you have fantastic cheekbones and also are incredibly thin."
The critic added that the cut can make women appear childlike, which has become synonymous with looking thin and is therefore making the pixie look very popular.
Updos are also proving very popular with celebrities at the moment, with stars such as Leighton Meester, Drew Barrymore, Hayden Panettiere and Cat Deeley wearing the cut at the recent Emmy Awards.
