Natural hair care: Radical changes should be tested out
People considering making radical colour changes to their natural hair hue should test out any dramatic diversion first, according to one expert who said this can help women and men avoid any fashion faux-pas.
Hair colour specialist Jo Hansford said that men must make sure they are extra vigilant when making changes to their hair colour, as they stand out more on a man.
She stated: "You only ever notice the bad ones and you certainly know if a man has been in the bathroom putting a DIY [colour] on his hair because it looks absolutely horrendous and horrid and he ends up with roots."
The expert added that there are a lot of good hair products on the market for people to choose from.
A recent study of identical and non-identical Danish twins found that a woman's genetic makeup is the major factor in determining whether or not hair will lose its colour.
