Natural hair care trend: Perfect plaits
If you want to inject some glamour into your natural hair care style, you can't go far wrong with plaits and braids.
The Daily Mail reported that stars around the globe have been treading the red carpet sporting an array of hair weaves, from full-length pony-based creations a la Kate Hudson, to Heidi-esque plaited bands across the head and twisted fringe accents, like Sienna Miller and Jennifer Aniston.
Writer Olivia Walmsley said that this-seasons' plaits are very forgiving for those with dry or processed hair, as the look is meant to be flyaway and messy.
She added: "Braiding is perfect for hair that's a bit dirty — so if you haven't time to wash your tresses before work but still want to look fashionably pulled-together, this is the style for you."
Products will help you get the grip you need on your locks, such as a sea-salt spray or volumising mousse.
Blow-dry all traces of moisture out of the hair, before picking either the French plait, side-to-side plait or fishtail option, using combs and clips to secure your creation.
If plaits aren't for you and you want a change, you could opt for a dramatic natural hair colour change like Girls Aloud's formerly blonde Sarah Harding, who debuted new chocolate brown locks earlier this week.
