Natural hair care trend: The ponytail reigns supreme
If there's one go-to style that natural hair care fans can rely on, it's the ponytail – and the good news is that it is set to come back to the fashion fore in this year's later months.
Vogue reported that the autumn/winter New York Fashion Week shows saw models strutting the catwalk with their locks "pulled back into a nonchalant pony" at Alexander Wang, while Max Azria showcased a "boyish" twist on the classic style.
Marc Jacobs went high-maintenance, with hair stylist Guido Palau describing his take on the ponytail as "perfect to the point of being perverse" – high on the crown, pulled tight and slicked to within an inch of its life.
With the spring season just getting underway, Zeena Moolla from Your Hair magazine advised ladies to perform some post-winter mane maintenance, such as an extra-moisturising natural shampoo and conditioning masque, in order to be ready for the coming trends.
Celebrity stylist Mark Hill has suggested that plaits, braids and weaves will dominate the months ahead, as well as soft, sexy waves.
