Natural hair dye: Moving from red to black is low maintenance
If you're looking for a change from your natural hair colour, red-heads may choose to cross over to the dark side using natural hair dye.
Alison Dace, a hair specialist at Saks, said that dark hair can be easy to maintain, despite the strength of your natural colour.
She explained: "You may need to have your roots touched up a little more frequently, but it's certainly not a high maintenance option."
However, if you're thinking of going back to your natural hair colour, you might want to consult a professional, Ms Dace advised.
"The depth of dark colour your hair has would determine whether you need a gentle or deep cleanse," she said.
Famous red-head model Lily Cole recently made a splash by changing from her trademark auburn locks to a striking, almost-black style, Victoria Joy from Sky.com Showbiz reported.
With a short, blunt fringe to her 'do, Lily has joined the ranks of Katy Perry and Christina Ricci as beauties that have made black hair their own.
