Natural haircare fashion staple: The ballerina bun
Posted by Shannon Davies
It's official: Buns are set to take fashion and natural haircare by storm come spring, that's if the catwalk and red carpet are anything to go by.
However, if you can't wait to get cracking with this style, then look no further than celebrity stylist Luca Blandi, who has offered tips on how to create the gorgeous, glam and simple ballerina bun.
The expert was the vision behind Jessica Simpson's updo at the recent Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, which was praised by the Hollywood Life blog for being "fabulously high".
He told natural haircare fans that the best way to start is by using a dry natural shampoo on the crown to add volume and slick back with a little gel, then tie with an elastic hook and twist the bun and secure with pins.
"Place the bun with the bone structure of the face and see where the better location of the face [is]," he asserted.
If you need more inspiration on this trend, then check out the pictures of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, where buns of all shapes, styles and sizes were the pick of the event.
