Natural looking locks 'are bang on trend'
Fans of natural hair care products who want to be en vogue when styling their tresses need to make sure they do not try too hard this autumn, according to one expert who said unkempt locks are the in thing.
Mario Failla, a Saks hair expert, said that leaving hair unwashed and looking slightly out of sorts is what fashionable women will be doing in the winter months, which could be good news for those who do not always have time to wash their locks before work.
She said: "One of the key autumn/winter trends we are seeing is hair worn with product build-up. It's a grubby-smooth texture, much like Pamela Anderson's, who has a very lived in working/party girl look."
According to new research from Mintel, salon shampoos are forecast to drop in value by £9 million in 2009 as consumers cut back on their salon experiences, which could encourage fans of natural hair care to try out the more messy style.
