Nelly Furtado embraces natural beauty
A pop star has spoken about her desire to keep her natural style looks as she moves into middle age, saying she will not follow the example of Madonna and spend hours in the gym, according to one publication.
Nelly Furtado told Petra magazine that she will not put herself through gruelling gym sessions in order to keep trim and instead said she would embrace her natural looks.
The Maneater singer said: "I am not ready to adjust physically, just to be marketable. My sell-by date will run out eventually. I wouldn't be willing to do Pilates round the clock, just to slow down the deterioration of my body."
Furtado added that she does not want to be in the public eye for the rest of her life and is quite happy to sit back and enjoy her middle age.
Stylist magazine recently reported on Cat Deeley's decision to embrace a more natural hair after she experimented with straight, girl-next-door tresses.
