The future of natural hair colour: Dye that stops you turning grey?
If you use natural hair dye to cover those odd whisps of silver in your locks, you might be interested to hear that, in the future, products could actually help us to maintain our natural hair colour.
Medicalnewstoday.com reported that the a piece of research published in the Chemical Reviews journal has argued that new technological processes could see leaps forward in the field of hair colouring.
Authors Robert Christie and Olivier Morel highlighted that there had been no significant developments in the process and chemicals used to permanently tone hair in 50 years – but that upcoming developments could ingredients that actually stimulate genes to produce pigment.
The news source explained: "These substances promise to produce a wider range of more natural-looking colors, from blond to dark brown and black, with less likelihood of raising concerns about toxicity and better prospects for more natural results."
Recently, Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding surprised us all by going over to the dark side, after being famed for her platinum locks.
