Trend for unusual hair dyes discussed
One expert on hair care has spoken out about the current trend for unusual hair dyes.
Jane Stacey, TONI&GUY international artistic director, said: "Hair follows current fashion trends and the catwalk is alive with bold colours at the moment, from rich deep blues and electric purples, to soft pastel pinks and aqua."
She said that those who want to be on-trend will find that it's simpler to do this through their hair than by getting their hands on a new wardrobe, adding that hair is good for experimenting with.
Ms Stacey pointed out that although there is no one popular colour for dyed hair, pink seems to be on-trend at present.
However, she cautioned that ladies who want to dye their hair in vivid hues should be aware that if they're going for pink they will need to have their base colour pre-lightened first.
In addition, she reminded us that bold colours fade faster than other tones, so will need to be maintained with regular visits to the hairdresser.
One celebrity who's recently taken the plunge with hair dye is Kate Bosworth, whose has stepped out with dip-dyed blue hair.
