Tyra Banks bares her hair for natural beauty
Supermodel and TV personality Tyra Banks is going to reveal the natural beauty of her hair on US television as she attempts to reassure women that their hair is gorgeous in its natural state.
Fans of natural hair care may be interested by the news that Tyra Banks will appear on the latest episode of The Tyra Show, which is her talk show, with hair that has been untouched by stylists.
She said: "It's just me coming straight out of the shower with wet hair. My hairdresser's going to do my hair live on stage, it's more honest. There's nothing worse than sitting there and pretending."
The decision to come out on the show with unadorned tresses is part of Banks's efforts promote natural beauty, with women coming on to the show to discuss their own hair issues.
Beauty writer Charlie Kuchinsky recently told Examiner.com that women who do not make the most of their locks could be detracting from their natural beauty.
