Use natural conditioner to banish winter hair blues
Make sure you stock up on the natural conditioner, because as the temperature drops, you're going to need it!
Winter weather, central heating and multiple layers can all cause problems for your hair and scalp, international celebrity hair stylist Jawed Habib told IndiaInfoline.com.
In particular, people may experience flaking scalp, even if they are not prone to dandruff, Mr Habib said.
To avoid any unsightly hair situations or lacklustre locks, Mr Habib advised that natural hair care fans should wash their hair once a week and condition in between.
Mr Habib added: "Don't rinse hair with hot water. It should be normal tap water. [Hot] water opens pores, which results in dandruff. So, while washing hair during winter, use cold water for the last rinsing."
Earlier this month, hair specialist Erin Anderson gave NY Daily News readers some tips on how to avoid a home hair cut disaster.
If you want to save money by giving youself the snip, Ms Anderson urged you to use small, sharp scissors, working from the centre of the face to the sides to keep it even.
