Women 'not cutting back on natural hair care products'
Women are resisting cutting back on their natural hair care products during the recession, an expert asserts.
Sharon Dorram, celebrity hairstylist, tells msnbc.com that while ladies are willing to skimp on luxuries such as massages, travel and their personal trainer, they are drawing the line at their locks.
There is a growing trend for women to begin dyeing their hair at home as a way of saving money, she asserts.
Ms Dorram advises people to avoid altering their colour too far from the base shade, as this will allow the look to remain natural.
She also recommends buying products that can protect the locks from day-to-day wear and tear, as there are colour protecting items that will minimise the removal of colour or shine.
Professor Richard Shape, reproductive biologist, recently warned that a number of chemicals commonly used in cosmetics can lead to boys developing in the womb experiencing fertility problems.
