Dip-dyeing hair the natural way
Dip-dyeing hair became a trend last year but it shows no signs of going anywhere with celebrity fans including Lauren Conrad, Jessie J and Rachel Bilson still flying the flag for ombre hair.
Headmasters colour director Siobhan Jones explained to Look magazine how you can keep your hair style up-to-date and in great condition.
"Ombre colour has had an update for 2012, it's all about creating volume and accentuating face shape rather than just length," she said.
A new method called balayage is being used at the minute, which involves painting the colour onto the hair freely, allowing some of your natural colour to show through.
Ms Jones advised that while ombre colours can suit almost everyone, those with short hair should opt for subtler shades, however longer lengths can afford to be more adventurous.
If you're keen to use natural hair dye then the Naturtint Permanent Hair colorant comes with active vegetable ingredients, with no parabens, phthalates, ammonia or other nasty chemicals, but with the same long-lasting, vibrant results.
