Animal-print natural makeup makes a splash
We've been told that the big trends in natural makeup for the summer are block colour and romantic styling – however, there's another look that's roaring into the limelight.
The Independent reported that animal-print inspired cosmetics are on the rise, with the release of temporary zebra and cheetah-print lip tattoos, as well as a craze for leopard-print eye shadow, as popularised by Pixie Lott.
Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabanna is getting in on the act with the launch of its Animalier, which has a leopard-print bronzer as its centrepiece.
"What I especially love about the Animalier collection is that it is so versatile - there are no rules because the palette is so compatible," D&G makeup artist Pat McGrath said.
Domenico Dolce added: "A bronzer is what spring and summer are about."
If you want to achieve an animalistic look for your summer style, pick three shades from a similar palette, whether they be traditional yellows and browns, or a silver – or even purple – twist on the leopard style.
Also remember that primer will be your best friend, in order to hold the powder in your desired design.
