Application is vital with natural makeup
Some fans of natural skin care can let themselves down by applying natural makeup in a way which makes their complexions look heavy, according to one expert.
The Calgary Herald spoke to makeup artist Whitney Sellors, who said that there are a number of ways women can avoid poor application, including using a foundation brush to blend outwards from the centre of the face.
She stated: "Less really is more when it comes to make up. Use a light hand and 'bump up' the colours that appear in your face naturally, especially in your lips and cheeks."
The expert added that makeup brushes will help fans of natural beauty to apply their products in a more professional way and achieve a better look.
Fashion makeup artist Pat McGrath recently told the Irish Independent that using a brush is the best way to achieve a flawless finish when applying foundation and added that using fingers can produce results that are not as professional.
